I have a couple of orandas that I bought a little while ago. One of them is almost constantly chasing the other around and only seems to stop when the other is at the surface. I assume that I must have a male and a female.

It would be nice to own a few goldfish that I have bred myself.

How do I know when the female is likely to lay eggs ?

Thanks

Mick

Probably very soon. A couple of days. They need something to spawn on.

I made a spawning mop yesterday which they are very interested in. I think they are more intellegent than most people give them credit for. Goldfish behaviour is new to me

My orandas went off the boil, so I took the mop out, but today they are bombing about the tank again so I put the mop back in. I wish they would hurry up and get on with it.
