I went out on the internet to find the best way to take pictures of my fish to post. The first three articles I read all said to do it a different way. So my fellow fish keepers I now refer the question too you. Is there no one way that works best? My camera is a Canon power shot SD600, just a small pocket camera. Any tips that can help would be great.

Here is what I do,
1. Need a lot of lighting in the room.
2. turn off flash.
3. Set to highest shuttle speed.
4. In the mean time, you need to have wide apature open.
5. I can't use tripod since I want pictures from different angle. Monopod is pretty good though.

Good Luck

Hi Gregg,

The best technique I have found is to use a small aquarium with the back and sides painted or covered. Set the aquarium up outdoors when the sun is straight overhead. You can get good lighting, and less reflection this way without using a flash.
