High quality Goldfish without live feed

I am just wondering, is it possible to raise high quality Goldfish without the use of live feed from eggs stage?

I have a batch of oranda fry which hatch some 4 days ago. I have only been feeding them sieved grounded pellet food. I intend to continue feeding them dry feed to see how well they will develope in the next few months.

What do you guys think?

It is easy to grow them without live food. But live food is actually a convenience when you consider the whole process. They grow faster with live food and you can move them on to the next phase sooner. Also, you can find much better dry food than crushed pellet.
