Gorgeous ranchus! I envy you guys for being able to get fish like these.
They are amazing, Fred. They look so happy and healthy. I was also looking for your GW setup.

The back curve and tail pitch are extremely nice. Any chance we could get some pics of the peduncle and tail seat from above?

Fred,
Do u have any ranchu that you need to give away? :-*
I know the ones u want to give away have much better quality than the ones in the LFS.
It's so hard to find a decent ranchu in a LFS.

How could you collapse a GW system? Did you forget to leave the light on? or lack source of ammonia?

Fred,
Would u think I can use one of these high output light bulb in home depot to brew my GW?
I always wanted to try, but expensive electricity bill has holding me back of trying.
All I need is a strong, air stone and pure ammonia.
correct?

Which light are you referring to? I am not sure.
Electricity bill? I guess it's only 10 dollars diff
you are right, strong light, air stone and pure ammonia to start green water.

Something like this - Philips MasterLine® 130 Volt 75 Watt PAR30L Halogen Flood Bulb
http://www.homedepot.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/ProductDisplay?storeId=10051&langId=-1&catalogId=10053&productId=100040303
I used to have something like this, but it was for reptile to generate heat. I guess I can use this as well?
As long as the light is strong, it will generate gw, correct?
Also when u say $10 differ/ monthly? and with the this extra light on at least 8 hrs a day, 7 days a week?

Instead of Halogen, Iwould consider metal halide. MH produces less heat but getting same effect.
Yes, my light are on for 9 hrs a day for 7 days a week.

I've been searching for a MH on the net and they are all so expensive. :sigh:
