Wigglebutt Ranchus

Did some work on the 110g Ranchu tank this morning and moved the fish to a measuring bowl while we worked. They are between 5 and 8 inches. Here is a video that I shot:

gosh, they are so round, they look like they might be part pearlscale!
am i nuts, or do some of the black ones even have the domed scales?

Actually one of the black ones had the beginning signs of dropsy that day. We put him in a hospital tank and started medicated food, he didn't respond, and we did lose him a few weeks later.

aww, that's too bad, one of my bettas died recently from dropsy too, someone really needs to come up with an effective treatment!!!!!!!!

they are still really fat, though:)
