Solar power pump

Hi,

I was wondering if anyone here uses those solar power pump? If you have, how do you like it? Does it only pump water when there's sun or do they run 24/7?

you can hook it up to a battery, they run 24/7, otherwise no.

safer system would be a whole real solar panel set up with battery. Pump would then run at night too.

Some day I keep telling myself I am going to put a back up on my pond, for at least the air pump of a marine battery/charger and inverter so if the power goes off I would at least have air going to the pond. However it hasn't happened yet :exact: and my pond never gets very hot in summer so hasn't been a critical thing either.
