I used to be a member at Goldfish paradise, but I just signed up here. It was a shame that it closed down. I know quite a bit about goldfish, all my water parameters are normal, and I have treated the tank for flukes. I think it's something with his swim bladder but I'm not sure.

Is it inhumane to keep him alive? He doesn't move at all, the only time he'll move and manage to flip back over is when I feed him. I have put fish down in the past, but only when they've been really REALLY sick.

It's totally up to you. Most fish do not recover from swim bladder issues.
What are you feeding your fish? Have you tried sticking with fresh foods and gel foods? Some fish seem to do better when they don't eat pellets or flakes.

Hey back, well I feed them pro-gold that I got from the goldfish connection. He never has the problem with floating its more like he's just disoriented and stuck at the bottom. Would that kind of food help?

Blanched veggies like peas without the shell, there are gel food recipes in the net that might help. I can't feed some of my fish pro gold because it makes them floaty.

Do you think kisses is suffering? It's so hard to tell

It's totally up to you. If think its quality of life is affected, then euthanise. We all have this dilemma from time to time. I do euthanise when its obvious that their quality of life is limited to laying on the bottom or stuck at the top.
I have one right now that I keep putting off even though he's a "downer"
You have to do whats right for you. I can't tell you if Kisses is suffering or will recover. So you can try switching up the food and even fasting to see if that helps, then you will know you have tried everything to help you fish improve.

If your fish is still eating and can swim around somewhat then it still has some quality of life. I would try the peas, place her in a quiet quarantine tank bring the tank temps up to 80 degrees. Keep her on he peas only. It is ok to late her fast for a couple of days without harm and then try the peas. Finally, some epsom salt at about 1 tablespoon per ten gallons.

it's a personal decision. If it were my fish, I would euthanize. Just my opinion, as a quality of life issue.
Sorry about your fishy......

I think I am going to put kisses down today. :( Its hardbreaking but he really seems to be suffering. He struggles but can't right himself at all. He can't even eat. I'm just so scared to do it. I have the clove oil, and I've done it in the past but it is just so incredibly heartbreaking watching the fish die. :(
