The Sarassas were spawning like crazy this morning. I netted out the couple I like the most and that were the most interested in spawning. She was very ripe so I decided to hand spawn them in to petri dishes. There were about a tablespoon of eggs and the male provided ample milt.

David,
Time to move onto the double tailed guys, single tailed are too easy for you

They're getting bigger, but been too busy moving/selling a 300 square foot Bamboo grove. I sold about 2/3 of it but it still took 4 cubic yards of potting soil to pot up what I kept. Oh yeah and I just brought home 333 goldfish so I've got my work cut out there.
Gary- it was totally a spawn of convenience that I had time to document. My serious breeding list for this year is the BEP (down to only two but I think they are a pair) and nice pair of classic lionheads that over wintered outside without any issues, Bristols and maybe a couple common/comet color crosses. All my ranchu need more time they are not putting on the pounds as I had hoped.
