First time poster, I really like to swing by walmart and some other cheap-fish pet stores to take a gamble on the random bulk shipments they get it, sometimes you can find a little peach like this. sub-standard for champions, but nice on it's own.
imperfect dorsal spine, asymmetrical anal fins, but a nice color, nice, white cranium, black lips, and a superfluous lobe on the tail fin that gives it a unique flair.

I'm thinking that hood may grow out into a sweet white crown.

Yes, sometimes the LFS will occasionally get in an outstanding goldfish and you can get such a fish for a low price. However, these fish often carry "cooties." Be prepared to quarantine the fish, use salt, and possibly treat the fish with Prazi-Pro for flukes.
I was in one of the small fish stores last week, and they had a near perfect telescope--white with blue eyes. Gorgeous finnage, round body shape--show quality. $9.99. I told the store owner, if someone wants a telescope, that fish is a good quality one. (He looked at me with a blank stare that told me he didn't have a clue.....)
