One of my black baby chu has been flashing. I have since salted the tank to 0.1% but am afraid to go higher. How far can I go with salt and baby ranchu? Is there any safe medications for them (for parasites)?
I'm comfortable medicatiing adult fish but have no experience with fry like this, any help is appreciated.

zImported fish oftn have flke, salt is not the answer try Trichoricide or Prazi.....
Mine are not flashing but it is probable that we would have this issue:exact::me:

Gary, I'm out of Prazi at the moment (although have one coming in hopefully this week).
Mr. Boss (breeder), recommends just frequent water change for now so that's what I've been doing. Interestingly, I haven't noticed any flashing behavior from that BBR today but I'm keeping a close eye.
I have some Clout left (has Prazi in it), but other med contents might be too strong for them, so I'm just gonna wait for the Prazi. They're still acting ok so hopefully I can wait it out.

I believe that Clout has trichlorfon - an organophosphate pesticide. It is pretty strong stuff and hard on the kidneys and liver.
