Hi guys new here :)
I'm planning on upgrading to a 90 gallon aquarium for 6 japanese side view ranchus that i just purchased and my problem is that I read somewhere that it's better to have a shallow tank. 90 gallon tanks are 25" high. Is that to tall for Ranchus? Will it disfigure them or something? 4 of the 6 ranchus are still young, about 3 months old and 3" in body lenght. Please help.

Thanks,
Dean

I have mine in 150 gallon that is 30 inches tall.
I do not see a problem with them.mine are larger size so do not know about age and smaller size.

I have 4 (120G) that are 12" and 4 (75 G) that are 25" tall all with Ranchu in them. According to my Japanese Kai master, 12" for optimum wengrowth otherwise the growth is minimized or at least less prononuced. IS this true or just a piece of bad tarnslation or folklure. We may never know!

Deep water will not effect the SVR. 24 or little more will do great for them!
50cm/about 24" will help with their growth rate/wen/back curve.

6 JBSVR are out to you today! Hope tank is ready for them!
Ying & Yang (JadeSeal&Tanjo))are in the box!
Looking for update picture in your tank!
