I won a 2fer auction on Ebay from xxxxxxxxxxxx on two cute little black ranchus. They look like very decent fish and that will top me off for room. Maybe Paul would be kind enough to post the pics of them as I suck at doing that.

I like the second one best but they look like they will be nice fish when they are full grown. Congrats!

Sab they were sold as a twofer but I think they are both male. AJ I agree, I like the second one the best,but I have had small fish with the elongated body grow into very nice adults when they finally get their gerth. It'll be interesting.I like starting with smaller fish and watching them grow.:yess:

Me too, I am hopefully going to get a female black from him. I like growing them out too but don't have the space to grow out a bunch of fry....

Thanks Jed, I am contemplating a total makeover so it might be a few weeks. Even though I enjoy it my tank is looking kind of blaw at the moment.Fred

Yeah, my tank is looking blaw as well, but I know your goldfish are beautiful. :yess:

Black ranchus are very rare in Montreal. Found some today in a LFS. Not very healthy, not high quality (but decent) and not cheap but I took a chance and bought 2. They are 2 inches long and cost 20$ each.

Lucky! I have been looking for a pair of black ranchu for weeks. Great fish! Even if they are both male, they are gorgeous.
