Hey there I want to learn a little bout my Ranchu here. I want to know what you guys think. I bought he/she for $1.99 3 years ago at walmart. He has taken 1st place each year at the show. Is it a side view or a top view?Thanks

Yes, SV........ if anything, he is a lionhead or lionchu. I would venture he is related to your Lionhead you posted just now, same source?

I kinda thought so I got them both from Walmart a few years ago. I thought they had great personalities. So would you breed them together? Would I get decent Lionchu's or just cute mutts?

Depends on what you want... .Chinese "ranchu" are lionhead bred for curved backs.... If you like them, breed them.

Those two have been slow growers infact they didnt have any real head growth till last year. Thanks for the information so far :)

Decent gf for Walmart gf and price. Definitely not TVR. A lionhead cross to look like a ranchu from the side but not a good SVR either. Just a pet fish IMO.
