When I got home from work today, I got a letter from one of my credit card company saying I cashed out some money using their check. But I have never done that in my life; I called CC company and started the war.
To make it short, I do not lost anything but I am terrifying with these identity thief.

that sucks dude. I've had some CC fraud before and it is not nice.
I always shred everything that has my name on it.

I do shredding paper as well. But this time, Thieves stole from my mail box I guess.
Wow, that sucks! I was just telling my husband the other day about shredding EVERYTHING. He threw away some papers of his, and he removed the address lable and threw it in the trash. When I look in the trash, I saw the papers. I went through it, and some of the papers had his name, address, and ss# on it! I could have SCREAMED!

No way...:badidea: Shredding is a must now-a-day.
Whats scary is some CC companies have those blank checks in their statements. These irritate me to know end. To me they are asking for fraud!
Hope all works out for you. We tend to keep all bills filed away for a few years.

My hubby is just as careless! He is not allowed to touch anything having to do with finances!
I personally HATE those checks that the credit card companies send in their bill envelopes - all made out to my accounts through the credit card. I never use those - and never would, yet they are there for anyone to take!!! I have requested to have them removed, but have to keep sending written requests every 6 months to have the request stay active.
My bank is just as quilty...... I mailed a bill last February to a credit card company - and it never arrived. We fixed it and put a stop payment on the check. About 2 weeks ago the check showed up. The bank cashed it - no questions asked - no alert sent to us.... just cashed it for 1800 bucks! The check, when veiwed, was torn, muddy, crumpled and only partially there - yet they NEVER even questioned it. Needless to say - that bank is no longer my bank.
Grrrrrrrrrr....
Good luck on your fight. Document everything and do not give up!

To me, all these pre-approved CC applications in the mail are as much a harassment as the soliciting phone calls I get every night around dinner time. I shred these applications as soon as I get them in the mail.
