Hi all,
Currently, When I feed frozen bloodworm, I have to turn off the filter. How about using feeding cone as below? Any idea?

I use this when I feed blood worms to my goldies and it has worked out fine. I used to have to turn off the filters until I started using this feeder. Although I thought chasing after the worms was a good way for the goldfish to exercise!!

I tried the cone feeder, and it did not work well for my fish. The food just sat there, and the fish never figured out that the cone was the "fish buffet."
Obviously it works for some folks. The cone feeders are cheap. Try one and see how your fish like it.

I thought those things were for live food. What makes the worms come out through the little holes?

As the cube of frozen blood worms thaws, some of the ends of the worms stick through the slots. The fish smell them and suck them out of the cone - worm by worm. It can work OK.... I have a couple of those cones. By and large, the fish are too lazy to work too hard for the worms. They smash the cones off the walls, and swallow the chunks of semi-flozen worms whole.

That's an interesting device. I sometimes feed Hikari freeze-dried bloodworm as treats, but I make my fish work for it. These things typically float so they have to come up to the surface and hunt, quite a sight though. I wonder if worms really do taste better than pellets because the fish would go into frenzy mode whenever I feed the worms.
