What's the difference?

Just like to know what is the difference between these three:
1. Goldfish Contest
2. Goldfish Competition
3. Goldfish Show.

Maybe more like a pet contest? Haven't heard the term used here in the US really. Same actually with competition, though if the word competition is used generally it would be within the context of a show... ie "a lot of competition in the show today"

If the judges don't use the same standards, a show is too subjective to mean much to the breeder. I will show, but I breed ranchus to the Japanese standards and don't care if gets beat by a lionchu or such.
