Hi Everyone

I've just got hooked up with my Saki source.

There are 3 options:
Color
Growth
Multi season

In 4.4 and 33 pounds.

I've got to figure out pricing but I'm leaning towards trying a 33 pound bag of what ever people want the most of and I'll repackage it into pounds or what ever.

If you're interested please chime in with what you'd like to try.

I've got to buy 33 pound bags or cases of the 4.4 so I'll only try one thing at a time. I'm leaning towards the multi season but am open to your opinions.

It's the GoldFish version!

As far as I can tell it only comes in one pellet/stick size.

Take care. These sound like koi food to me too! As far as I can ascertain from my contacts in Japan, and confirmed by what I saw on the shelves when I was in Japan in 2007, Sahi Hikari GOLDFISH is available as "With Colour Enhancer", Without Colour Enhancer and "Baby". The largest bags I saw were 500 grm for "Baby" and 1 kilo for the other two. "Multi Season" for Japanese goldfish food worries me!

Hi John

I think you are correct, I've asked for clairification as they to seem like the koi food to me too. I think they just got their wires crossed. I think the goldfish only comes in 2.2 pound bags.

I'll get it worked out before I put in the order.

Are you using the Saki? How do you like it? If not what are you using?

In early 2008 the HikariUSA people said it was being held up because of a labeling issue but they thought it would be resolved within a year. The formulation contains probiotics (living microbes) which is creating import regulatory havoc. My understanding was there is a SakiHikari Fancy Goldfish Color Enhancing Diet (black bag) and SakiHikari Fancy Goldfish Basic Diet (green bag). Both available only in 200 gram and 1 kilo bags.

Saki purple is what I use. It simply says fancy goldfish on it. Personally, I like the small pellet size, and the fish seem to be really fond of the food. I have noticed though, that some fish will still have small air bubbles in their feces.

HI,

There are actually 4 type of Saki-Hikari; Purple, Green, Blue, and Red.

For purple bag or Fancy Goldfish Color, i would prefer mixed it with either Saki Growth(Green bag) or Hikari Lionhead. This saki color are work very well or too well with heavily feed, resulting in your fish color blend. I would suggest to mixed with other sinking pellet foods.

After going up the chain a bit the Hikari rep makes it sound like the 7 oz bags are all that are available right now, damn...

He's looking into the future availability and an ETA on the food.

Hey I am interested in some as well. Maybe a half pound to a pound at a time.

Are you going with 7oz bags? Or wait till there's a larger bag available?

Well,
I just got a call and my Saki for goldfish just came in. It is in 33 lb bags, as stated in the original post, and I had an option for 2 kilo bags. When I get it will if Bubba got me the right stuff, I'm pretty sure it is as I sent him pictures and names off the web.

Anyway, 33 lb bags are a lot cheaper per pound than 2 kiol bags....

I'm pretty excited!

You're where I was a day ago! But then it was koi food.

In looking at everything Hikari has on it's web pages it only comes in up to 2.2 pounds.

Let me know what you've got when you get it.

I'd like to buy a few pounds if you can spare it.

Saki only available in 7 oz bag and 2.2 pound or 1Kilo bag.
Other than that It's should be for koi.

I only have Color enhancer in stock at the moment.

I only have 7 oz bag in stock. Price between 7 oz bag and 2.2 lbs are pretty the same. 2.2 lbs is little bit cheaper. But i would prefer to get 7 oz bag because you really do not want to feed too much like Hikari lionhead because it's might blend your fish color. Plus, it easier to keep it fresh.

HOwever, if you looking to get a lot of bag, i could sell you cheaper than whatever i listed on my showroom.
