I was reflecting how far we have come with promotion of the ranchu over the last few years, and I think some congrats are in order. And this site has alot to do with it(congrats Fred). Look at the early threads to where we are today..... Lots of new ranchu lovers, good reproducing itself new bloodlines in the US(thanks Paul and Steve).... And homegrown stock improving as well. We have had 2 tvr win the big award at the last two AGA shows, as well as improved AGA standards(thanks Peter P.) We have a first dry run ranchu show coming up, and are planning a ARS specialty with a AGA show next summer. Congrats everyone, and a special thanks to Gary for keeping the ranchu dream alive when it was flickering, and John and Andrew for passing their Jinchu knowledge onto us.

Also a special thanks to my friends who kept me going when I felt like giving up.

Now, lets keep it going...

I am a new Ranchu lover!!! Just bought 6 young ranchu from Jeff Hiller from his Itoh/Kudo line.

I have been keeping tropicals for 20 years, and was the president of my local aquarium society in the past. These are my first gold fish ever :yess:

Oh yeah, my name is "Dan" as well, although I am sure it was meant for one person not "Dan's" in general.
