Need help selecting a water pump

Everyone, I need help in selecting a suitable water pump to do water changes. I have 100 gallon tank with a few ranchus in it. When doing water changes, I would like to use that old water to water the lawn and plants in the backyard. What is a suitable water pump(external/submersible), that will provide decent water pressure out to do the job? Any advice would be greatful, thank you in advance.

Vincent, look on Aquatic Eco for submersible pumps.
They have a couple of pumps that we use for exactly what you're doing.
Their WP pumps. The pumps are about $45-$65 and move 1000gph with high head.
They used to come with the hose adapter, if they don't, just get a male threaded bib at the hardware.

I prefer selfpriming pump for water change so you don't need to suck water out with your mouth.

It is all about the head, if you are going downhill, then once it is primed you are fine. A small submersible is ideal

Thanks everyone for all the replies. Currently, my ranchus are in a rubbermaid 100gallon and 45gallon stock tank. Both tanks are kept in the garage. As Corrie suggested, I am looking at getting a WP55 pump and hook it up to garden hose. Current, I am using the bucket method!:youtellme:

home depot has becket pond pumps .i would recommend 230 gals per hr
