Color smear

I hear people talking about certain foods causing 'color smear'. Is that when the white on a fish turns a light orange in spots? And is it reversible by changing foods ??

Feed more astaxanthin....

......I'm kidding Bruce, don't feed more of that or spirulina either.
Both will color up a fish.

It can also make the edges of different colors bleed into each other. Not have a clean line.

Not completely reversible from my experiences, but it does get better once you stop using color-enhancing food.
