The Jameson Inn is nice and they give the show a discount. I think they told me it was $69 a night. Just ask them for the show discount. :)
Will you be showing??????

id love to eventually show, but i honestly just got started getting serious about my goldies and wouldnt begin to know where to start to be able to show. :youtellme: Any advice on the situation would be awesome. Books can only teach you so much. ;) Its one of the reasons im attending the show to try and learn some more. ~Lisa~

Lisa,,,,, there is nothing to it. You will get all the help you need here if you want to show. Ask Marlin! She just showed for the first time down in GA and had alot of fun..... even got a trophy. Just do it!!! :exact:
Just Jump right in..reserve a tank or two. You can even buy the fish to put in it if you want right there at the show Friday evening or early Saturday morning before judging starts.
For me when we first started going to shows I was simply amazed at not only the size of the show fish, but the variety. Now after showing at several shows I enjoy taking a variety of our fish just so people can see that same thing. We purposely take some fish we know won't win a thing, but they'll be crowd pleasers. Because they're just pretty!
Our problem now is limiting what we bring so we have room to hold any we might buy....it really is an obsession, but we have fun!

This is what I did when I bought fish from Chicago Show first time. I bought it at the first day of the show which means fish had to stay with me in hotel until I went back. I brought small rubbermaid box (about 7 gal I guess) with a hole in the lid(drill the hole). Also have battery operated air pump while air line is going into the hole from the lid. I brought 5 fishes(1 ranchu + 4 small ryu) from Chicago to NY.

I'll be there! So whatever you need, I will help you out. Just 3 days before u heading to the show. Just unfeed your fish and do 70% water change everyday on the fish u want to bring to the show. If u have some treatment like ProformC, PraziPro, or Other treatment that kill fluke, parasite, bacteria, and etc...it's better to treat your fish be transportation!

Lisa,,,,,,, We transport our fish in bags with oxygen inside coolers. Bring a cooler and we, or Paul, or one of the other dealers will make sure your new fish is bagged properly for the trip home. Also, before you come have your qt tank all set to recieve the new fish, makes it easier when you get home.

you guys are all sooo awesome! you know its nice to find a place where everyone is so open and willing to share information. Its such a far cry from other animal type hobbys like "dog and cat showing" heck even horse breeders/showers tend to guard information like they are goverment secrets lol anyways thanks again everyone and i cant wait to attend the Ky show! :yess:
