Dose anyone use or have tried Chemi-pure? Just wondering if it's worth using. It's sounds like the wonder cure for water quality according to their ads.

I have used it for discus, which need pristine water quality...and a couple time to help keep water really clean for stressed goldfish...I would also like to hear other people thought on it to though

Fred yes in a ideal world water changes are great and a necessity...but ive been in situations where im not gonna be home or I just use as a extra insurance to keep water as clean as possible, like for a sick fish otherwise i like to do round 50% water change a week, more if i get around to it:exact:

George, what exactly do you want it to do?
Reason being, there's probably something better.

I am an Undergravel person( I know...stop laughing long enough to read the rest of this!) I like the Chemipure to clean up a medicated tank. This way I don't have to worry about anything left over. I also like to run them on my breeding tanks before the fish spawn and then a week or so after the eggs hatch. I keep them on hand for an Emergency. Spring is very busy at work and time at home is generally to eat then sleep. The rest of the year I do regular water changes and have live plants in all of my tanks, but with undergravels you never know when you will get an ammonia spike.
So...My vote is that I like them.

I would like to do less water changes. I want my fish to have good water but sometimes this old body just isn't up to the activity:exact:
i use power filters with charcoal filters but was wondering if the chemipure was better and if they are worth it.

George, for what you want it to do, try the Magnavore Pura pads.
They will do a better job.
I have a bad back too. We need to work on some plumbing for you so you don't have to do anything but open and close valves.

Bruce, it shouldn't be hard to find at all. It's a US product.
Try google - Magnavore Pura Pads
A lot of hatcheries use these on their fry tanks.
