Quick question-

when i cleaned the bottom of the pond this year and rinsed the filters... there were tons of common night crawler/garden variety worms.... all live.. just a little slow.

How does that work? is there enough oxygen down at the bottom for them to survive the winter?

Usually when we get heavy rains and the lawn worm seek shelter at the base of our garage door.. they all die and bloat from being covered in water for so long...

I have found healthy living worms in some of my water lily pots when I transplant them. I'm not sure if they are regular worms or not, but my fish really like to eat them!
