Pond filter

Hi - am wondering what is the best filtration system for a 100 gallon pond. Are the submersible filters with UV any good?

The submersibles like the PondMaster 1500 will work for a small pond but once you add fish into the equasion you increase the bio load and have to be careful not to overload it with too many fish. I think they make it with uv but if they don't adding a separate unit to the system would definately be recommended.

OK thanks for that. So sounds like an external system is still the most effective. The pond is small and don't want to have too many pipes etc visible.
