I have been reading about Koi clay in koi ponds. In addition to being a water clarifier, it appears to offer some nutritional benefits to koi. Has anyone tried this with goldfish? The dosing seems to be geared towards larger 'koi' sized ponds, but according to what I have read, it does not appear that you can over dose with it.

I have even read that it can be used for human consumption. It is reported to offer detoxifying properties for humans and I am assuming fish, increased coloration (for fish) and water clarifying properties.

The price is cheap considering that 2 Tablespoons is supposed to treat up to 500 gallons on the container I read today. Just curious if anyone else has tried it for goldfish?

Thanks,
Chris

We get ours from Koi Village.com and feel that it is the best..... and no, not all clay is the same.

Ultra Clear Koi Clay provides the essential minerals including magnesium, calcium, and other trace elements for improved bone and scale growth, blood clotting, and reduced loss of sodium and potassium from fish blood. It contains essential silica for removing harmful toxins and heavy metals. It also has been known to clear your water. You can also add it to your food!
