You can find them in Butterfly tanks or talk to people here that breed globe eyes. I have not had much luck with them so far.

Can anyone tell me the difference between a Veiltail Moor and a Broadtail Moor? I always thought that they were the same.

Same thing really. Some believe broadtails have shorter caudals than veils but in this case the term broadtail by tradition has been attached to the moors. The broadtail moors Dave Schleser and myself have been linebreeding for over 30 years have caudals the same length as Philly veils though we select for slightly shorter caudals for better deportment.
What is different is butterflys where the front edge of the caudal is more perpendicular to the body. And choptails have extremely short caudals.
Hope this helps.
Veiltail, broadtail, fringetail (not filled in between the caudal lobes), confusing terminology for over a hundred years, not standardized depending on who is talking!
Hope this helps.

Who is nolaveils? Would you be Dave Linnemeyer? I had a friend who obtained veiltail moors from Dave Schleser and he often mentioned that M. Schleser worked on these veils closely with M. Linnemeyer.

Dave and I became acquainted in a bizarre way. Around 1976 we noticed each other advertising in the goldfish society of great britain bulletin looking for bt moors. At that point we did not know each other. So we figured if someone else was as crazy as ourselves over the moors, we should contact each other. In 1977 I went to England and brought back moors . Shared some offspring with Dave. Moved to New Orleans in 1979 into an apartment for a year so shipped all of the breeders to Dave in Dallas so we would not loose them. Have been sharing fish ever since.
