I will be getting a 90 gallon tank for Ranchus that is 48x18x24 inch high. What type of lighting will bring out the colors of the Ranchus? This will be barebottom tank without any plants, so I don't need powerful lighting or high wattages. T5,T8,T2 or LED? I like the new T2, but they only run to 22 inch long. I like to go for bulb that is 36 to 48 inch long. My concern with DIY LED is that it may not be bright enough to for a 24 inch high tank.

Also what tempature of bulb should I go for? 14,000k, 6500k , 10,000k , 20,000k or 50//50 used in reefing?

I have never seen a single case which use artificial light to bring out the color of fish. But 6500K is nearest to the sun light which plant can take though.
