This might be a silly question but how would you do this? Wooden frame, PVC pipe, etc? Are there any pre-made ones out there?
My incoming tubs are 140x110 cm (4.7x3.7ft) in size, and around 10-12 inches deep.

I'm a big fan of making them out of pvc pipe and using 'storm window kits' for the plastic window. I've made them of wood and plexi but not only are they heavy, they are $$.
Here are three that are in our basement; 150g qt tank, 700g tank, and 1000g tank.

Bruce, that's exactly what I need. Do you just glue the net to the pipes?

Came across this site during search
http://www.shelter-systems.com/fish-pond-covers.html
I'm seriously thinking about this because it's like a having a portable fish house on my patio. With water resistant material I could stuff whatever I want inside (electronic gears). I could even winterize my fish outdoor this way.

Have you ever seen the storm window kits you can buy for the windows of your house to help seal the windows in the winter? Its thin plastic film and it comes with double faced tape. Apply tape to pvc frame, apply plastic to tape, heat shrink with a hair drier. That is what I use because this is in my basement. I want to eliminate evaporation so I dont use a mesh/netting.
The domes you are showing are a whole different ball game.... lol. I'd LOVE to have something like that to put over the koi pond, or even small ones for the goldie ponds. I have a link somewhere that I'll dig out if you are interested that shows how to DIY a pvc framed green house.

Sure give me the link, I'd love to check it out. I still haven't really decided what to do.
The advantages of the dome are plenty though. I could reuse my old indoor gears (heater, air pump, etc.) without having to buy new weather-sealed ones. I won't have to buy/make a shade for rain/snow. It would also make good safe house against predators. The only obvious disadvantage is cost.

Suphi,
Here is one that I looked at:
http://www.greenhousemegastore.com/Farmhouse-Clear/productinfo/HG-FHFH-C/
They've got them in all sizes and price ranges. I was also looking for something for a deck/patio area.

I've decided to get one of these, since the price is very reasonable. My tub is 4.67' x 3.67' (the green house is 5' x 5'), so it'll be a tight fit.

If you are concerned about having enough room, this one is 6x6x6.5tall. But it is more money.

If you have Racoons I would like to suggest you use 2X4"s and 2 X2"s as a frame and put galvanized hardware cloth on as a cover that has 1/2" id square weave. It will keep, birds, raccons and mink out

Here is my dream :)
I'd be happy with just 4-5 of those tubs.
