I like it, young fish with very good potential. Too bad there's no easy way to import these guys here. You should post your award-winning, older fish, too.

He's got a ton, he's a very well-known breeder in Thailand. We just gotta get him to post more pics here.

I'm still learning about these guys, and from what I can see, this is a nice fish.

Note how the fish easily maneuvers himself in the bowl. He mostly flicks his tail fins around, no body or head shake. That's how a good ranchu swims, changing directions effortlessly with one or two flicks. That is the beauty of TVR, and that's why hard-cores (or fanatics if you will) are so into this type of fish.

Thanks for the info. This guy has great fish of all kinds. Is there no one here in the states willing to sell his fish?

I've looked into importing fish just for myself in the past, and the overhead is too much. Over $600 (import/license fee, vet inspection fee, etc.), and this is without shipping cost and the actual cost of the fish. It's really not worthwhile unless you are a vendor that can sell lots of lots of fish, or a private collector with lots of money to burn. TVR also don't sell well in the US, so it's a pretty risky venue.
