5 am I am on the phone with John Parker when I turned on my new filter. The water starts on the second floor in my wife's vanity then flows along the dry wall to pick up as much minerals as possible then turns on to the plywood to run 5 ft to absorb as much wood particle used as fiber in round body fish, then follows the electric line and thru the recessed light fixture in the kitchen ceiling where we charge the ions properly then cascades 8 feet ,to aerate ,then falls to the linoleum floor of the kitchen to pick up any crumbs available for fry feed then under the refrigerator motor to heat the water and remove impurities then follows the ice cube maker line in the floor where it is rechilled to absorb more oxygen then another 8 feet drop to my 75 gallon veil tank . This may catch on. I give my all for my fish.

Dave,

Reminds me of the time my son and I replaced all the ceiling panels for the upcoming Breeders Soical, Directly above , the following week I replkaced a float valve in a toliet. When I disconnected it the water wouldn't turn off, when I went back in the fish room all six new ceiling panels were wet...

Very funny story!:exact::exact:

I know a good sheetrock and plaster guy, you want his number? LOL

Puts a whole new meaning on "good morning" doesn't it?
I hope you had at least one cup of coffee first!

Very funny story of what was not very much fun for the owners of the house.

Sorry for you Dave, what a desaster.
Glad that our tanks are in the basement.

Thank god for fishrooms and concrete floors. I've overflowed my reef tank with reverse osmosis water all night. Not a good thing when the carpet pad is squishy with salt water.

When I opened my new office I put in 1800 gallons of fish. The first major water change ended up in the Masotherapist office next door, my landlord didn't connect the drain tiles.

Ive never understood how I can be sitting 5 feet away from a tank that has a hose running into it and not notice that it is about to overflow. :badidea::confuse:

Bluebelly,

I am so jelous! Do you do house calls to install this wonderful "Do Everything" filter system?

It's great to see you still have a good sence of humor!

Once I over filled my only decorative tank in the family room. It ran over on to the floor. After mopping and toweling everything off there was a knock at the door. The shorted phone called 911, cops came to the house, I told him the story and asked him inside, he said, " nope, you couldn't make that one up!:me:"

I think you should have run the system outside the wall, picked up some rain water in the gutters and then brought it in to run through the rest of your system...too late to do that now though, I guess

If my wife goes grocery shopping tomorrow I have two hours to try that.

A guy from work was over to see the fish room and get some Bristols. A spot on the concrete floor was wet form me doing a water change at Midnight when I got home from Planet Houston. He says" not sure my wife would ever left me have fish if the floor was wet, like this". I thinking these poor fish in the bag are already dead.

Since this is becoming story time. A customer called the nursery and ordered 50 adult 18 inch koi to be sent on their truck to their business. I heard this and asked our manager to call and confirm. He asked how big the pond was, then what about filtration and then about the water source, then smiled and said were cancelling. He said your gut feeling was right. They haven't built the pond yet she thought they could store the fish in the box untill needed.

A couple was leaving on vacation a few years ago and they had to leave the house at 10am, so he got up and did macro mantenance on his system in the basement. Siphoning tanks, filling tanks etc.
He was all done with time to spare and stopped and had a coffee and put the suitcases in the car. Before leaving for the airport, he decided to walk around the house, as he walked past the back basement door he noticved water running out of the house.

Water was still filling in one tank, the room had 2" of water in it.:youtellme:

Most interesting F ups storys.
I once drained my kio pond using a dirty water pump to suck out all the leaves and things. broke number one rule by not staying around and watching it . It is a dirty water pump which has a ,(oh no) shredder in front of the large mouth intake to chop up leaves and twigs and things as they pass through the pump blades.Well it when arriving at the bottom of pond(mistake) sucked up and shreaded about 6 of my koi before I discovered and stopped it. Now pump is properly screened and always monitered to suck without harming the fish.
