It is stable. Black one is hybrid of flowerhorn and SVR.

My guess would be because the ranchu is a hybrid of a flowerhorn. Have you seen the heads on a flowerhorn? I seriously believe he's top heavy. I have a friend that would pay $500 or more for that fish. lol

I keep flowerhorns, in fact I have five of them Red dragons blue dragons Bonsai flowerhorn . I really do not think the black ranchu is a cross with a flowerhorn I think it is just that the black one has irregular head growth. Flowerhorns are very mean and aggressive and most likely would kill the ranchu. Even when you breed two flowerhorns you have to be careful that they wont turn on each other. I keep mine in tanks with dividers so the males wont kill each other. I love Ranchu and maybe some day I can get back into them, for me I had a hard time keeping them healthy. your ranchu are really nice though. I like flowerhorns real hardy I have the same five for three years now. I lurk on this forum all the time, if one of my flowerhorn pass on I will try a tank of goldies again I do miss them.
