Hi I need some advice if I can keep 1 year old ranchus with bbr or cbr? At the moment I do 50% water change once a week but use a number of flitration. My biggest TVR is 5" now. I'm planning on doing 2x a week water change if I add the bbrs. The tank will be 10 gallon per fish - I'm planning on culling early this time with the new set of bbrs. Just curious if this is a bad idea and if it will effect the bbr's growth rate. Thanks!!

I would think that you're biggest ranchus might want to eat the bbr... Unless you can manage to add some kind of divider to keep the bbr safe away from the big ranchus in the same tank/container, or where ever you have them.

I think the bbrs are too big already to be eaten - hopefully :)

That was my only concern, but if they are to big to be eaten then you should be fine.

Don't you want to give them different diets?

I'll probably end up housing them separately. They'll be fed about the same 1x fbw and 3x pellets. I don't want to feed more so that I clean less :) I was just wondering if it will stunt the small ones. I ask because I've seen in YouTube people mxing different size ranchus. My goal is not to show them but I just want to make sure the small ones get decent growth.
