Got Lionheads!?

Who has nice lionheads!? Why do they seem so hard to find? I really like them and might be into making them but need some good references. Does anyone have really nice lionheads?? Nice straight backs, big manes viracious colors!>:)Me want. The cats meow if you will!

Oh, do you me lionhead goldfish?? LOL Sorry, could not resist... Actually I miss the classic lionhead. I wish Chinese breeders would not have tryed to turn good lionheads into ranchu and instead cultivated the lionhead more......

just kidding. I had frech lops once. They where like dogs. Would follow me around the yard. Anyway THATS WHAT IM SAYING!!! I want to breed the old Lionheads! I think there manes could be very unique and awesome.And the straight back... they should not die out!
Long tail might be nice. But def. lionhead body. Not an egg body. Not a freakin lionchu!
I have a tancho lionhead and tancho blk/wht ranchu to work with. (not great manes though)

I bought mine last year in your back yard from Ken Fisher from Dandy Orandas. The y are really nice fish, and spawned once last year, but I was busy and missed them.... They are all smiley

If you really want Lionheads you can order them here direct from China. Its a big firm... They have many variations.... :)

Ordering is not a big issue. But for importing, you need a lot of documentation + procedures.

Yes. Its true. But you only need to learn it once... I once tried to import fish... It should not be that difficult. Plus when you work with the firm that has done exporting to US it became easier. They could even guide you in the process.

Goldfishqueen is also that kind of exporter. There are several other big fish firms that can help if one really determined to do it.

I am wondering where they get inspected usually? The App. says they can be inspected at a port of entry? Do they rip open your box of live fish?? Does someone just look at paperwork?

How much are those puppies? I see no prices.

Maybe I will just go to China someday.

Easier way out would be that I can ask Tommy to bring it with the next shipment if you want...
