Hi All,
Just thought I would post my 3 year old white bubble eye to see what y'all thought. She is very active so hard to get it to sit still for a photo. The pectorals look a bit off but I think it's the camera angle. Maybe a video would be better. Excuse the greenish water. I find the fish do better in light green water. Thanks!

Hi,

This gf is a white demekin (Japanese name) or telescope or globe-eye (american or european name) or dragoneye (Chinese name). A Bubble eye will really have a sack of liquid hanging under each eye.

Your fish looks healthy and really nice with its upright dorsal fin and body shape. I think the tail looks better if viewed from the top.

yeah, not a bubble eye. it's nice; maybe it's more of a butterfly. did it have panda coloration when it was younger?

Yep not a bubble eye. Its butterfly telescope.

Great looking fish. Very healthy. Fins look great. Bushy softness in fins would definitely be a plus...

When viewed from top are the eyes symatrical? Is the belly propotionally curved?

Bingo.. It was a panda that decolored for the most part. Still a bit left. Thanks for the clarification on the nomenclature.

If you wanna know the quality of eye fish, please post the top view picture of the fish. :)

Nice top view of the telescope, so an overall good quality gf. I wouldn't qualify it as a butterflytail though.

im guessing there is no filtration in your tank set up right?

Plenty of filtration.. (sponge and a HOTB filter), 25% water changes weekly.. lots of ambient light.. the water just seems to stay slightly green. Like I said..as far as I am concerned it's more of an aesthetic issue. Just kinda went that way this spring after white demekin in the photo spawned.

Well what a Superb looking telescope, If it were a female i would have just said what a great fish to cross with my Male posted in this same thread!!
I like it very much, very neat body and very nice tail too.. I also think your green water has a lot to do with how the fish is looking!!
Luck with it, and keep up the good work!!:yess:
