i want to buy a big supply of bloodworms and found this kind of product. http://www.pets-warehouse.com/pic-a/AHK30120.jpg, ive used the cubes and they seem to cost quite a bit, so i was looking at these and was wondering how i would keep them. i was maybe thinking a bucket of water and defrosting them. would that be a good idea?

feed back anyone?

I break the (still frozen) entire package into little square pieces and store in zip lock bag in freezer until I am ready to use; then feed a piece at a time

Could you also have them defrosted into a bucket and refridgerate them?

Only do this for 8 hours, otherwise you will have a smelly and potentailly infectuous mess.

Put them on the floor and crack them up or break with a pliers and put in Ziplock

I am using the same one. It looks like a big sheet but pretty thin though. You can put the whole pile in the corner of the freezer, break into a small piece before feeding and keep the rest for later usage.

Gary and Fred are right. Never defrost and refreeze frozen stuff - either as food for us or our fish. Break it up intgo smaller pieces with hammer and chisel or whatever but LEAVE IT FROZEN.

Yes, refreezing ruins the quality of the nutrients, as well as risks spoiling.....
