I love wall algae. The long haired green ones. They keep the water clean. My fish love them so much. Its consistently accessible to fish.. Constant fiber diet.

Despite the benefits above, if you ask would I want wall algae in my main tanks.... I would think about it and have to say no. Just because, I want something pretty in my house not something that look like a broken down aquarium...

Having said the above, I keep my earlier two Ranchu babies in wall algae tank. Couldn't be better. They are like cows in the grass land.

So would anyone want wall algae in their tanks?

Cheers

"algae is friend and food!"

It improves coloration when eaten and removes nitrogen and phosphorus compounds

I love algae on my tanks, but HATE the hairy one. I do not have indoor glass tanks anymore, but when I did, they had algae on 3 walls. I think it look a lot better than the cheap looking landscape pics that are bout in the lfs.

Isn't everyone trying to go "green" these days?

I've got it all over my outdoor stock tank but my bushynose plecos take care of it inside....
