still working on producing more blue in calico oranda. Here are latest efforts.
It is proving much harding than I had expected.
These youngesters are the only ones to have produce any blue at all.

this one has an interesting shade of yellow in fins

none of these show any signs of headgrowth. the others, Non calico brothers, produced headgrowth.

Hi Michael,

Thanks for posting those pics. I do like the color. I am seeing similar results. I have some that show early headgrowth, and others have none at all. My fish have decent color, but the tails vary pretty widely. Some have fused tails, while others are well-sepatated. Also some are ribbon-tailed and some have more tail growth . I will post pics soon.

I think you are on the right track, save a matt with blue in the dermis and a couple of metallics that are dark and try the cross in that direction (MattX Metallic)
