I got RAnchus from Thailand(Paul), they are house indoor aquarium. Do I need a heater, since Ranchus are cold-blooded. Tempature right now is around 65 to 70, but may drop to 55. I know Thai SVR Ranchus are raise in warm tempatures, are they too fancy for low temps?

For Thai ranchu, it is best to keep above 68 since they r used to warm weather previously. I put them indoor without any heater(65F) and they r fine.

Thanks, so it sounds like I can skip the heater, if its down to 60s. I have one Ranchu from China and I know the China Ranchu is kept outdoor at low tempatures.

Gary, do you stop feeding at 60? if not, how often are you feeding and what? (wheat germ based?)

Iam feeding the fish 2 to 5 times a day at 66F, when I do a large water change the tubs drop to sixty -ish. They do not stay that way as the room heats them back up. I am very careful not to cool them off too far or they always get ich.
My fish in storage ( new barn) are at 51F, they get fed once a week
