Got my new fish today, had to skip work for 30 min to take care of them (good thing I'm the boss). They were left on my front door with outside temp of 30F for around 30 min before I got there, lol. Anyway, they didn't kick the bucket and now are in my 10G hospital tank. I'm also impressed with the packing, quite meticulous and is the best I've seen so far compared to other vendors that I've done biz with.
These chus are SVR. The big female is Thai, possibly full of eggs. The smaller two are of Japanese bloodline. No feeding for 48 hr per Paul's recommendation, but I'll be doing 100% daily water change.

In a few days. They're pretty stressed out right now from sub-freezing temp exposure, so I'm going to rest them first. Right now they are in a 10G tank that I put inside a bathtub (for easy water change), so there's no easy way for me to get a side-view snapshots.
I must've been outta my mind ordering fish during this time of the year...and tomorrow we're getting a winter storm! Could've been worse, I guess.
They are nice, Suphi. Looking foward to seeing more pictures. I cannot believe he left them outside like that.

Unfortunately my wife and kids took a vacation without me (although I'll be joining them in a week), so there was nobody home. It was still better than having FedEx leave a note in front of your door saying delivery will be reattempted tomorrow. The fish would've been dead for sure. I was literally tracking the shipment every few mins at work to see when delivery was made, lol.

I dug around and found some side-view photos taken by Paul.

Suphi, I encourage customers to have fish delivered to their place of business. But, don't open the box until you get home. There will be reasonable temperatures as long as they are in the hands of FedEx, but FedEx has a commitment to deliver on time so there is not much choice but to leave them outside your door in the cold.

Very nice ranchu. I'm glad they made it in one piece before the storm hits.

Hi Suphi,
Nice fish. I still have my empty tank at home. Do you need more space for your fish??

Lol, ak47 what're you implying. I also got an empty tank in case of emergency or in case any TVR became available. Been thinking about fiberglass tubs, though. I'm waiting for Paul to do his, then copy whatever he does.
Steve, I thought about having it shipped to my biz address also...just didn't want people at work to talk about it. The idea of fish keeping and buying fish online seems *strange* to most of my friends. But next time I may just do that during winter purchase, it was pretty stressful for the fish.

Ya, I also don't like personal things shipped to my work. I have fish shipped to a UPS store and P/U after work.
nice fish btw.

Had to move the small ranchus out of hospital tank because they were picking on the large one, who is still fairly sick. So, I took some snapshots. They do look better sideview.

How long will you be in Thailand? These fish need food to fat them up!

8 days only. They're just gonna be fed once a day with an autofeeder while I'm away. I'll fatten em up when I'm back.
