first shot at breeding

Hello, i have 3 SVR (2 males, 1 female) all are around 6.5" and i want to try and breed this spring. i have a couple questions though...

First question: should i pair two males to one female, or should it be 1 to 1???

When should i start feeding live food???

I dont know if I do it the right way for the goldfish I treat it like I do the KOi breeding 2-3males to a female unless I am trying to achieve a certain lineage or traits.
