I found some of my fish chasing today. I seperated the males from the females with a grate. How long before I should remove it. It is a plastic grate used with flouresent fixtures, so they can see and smell each other. The male were every aggressive and the females seemed to be close to exhaustion. I have mops ready to go. Just not sure whem to let them get together.

I would put them together and add the mops now. If the female is ready then they will do their thing. If the female is not ready then the males will figure it out and stop chasing so vigorously.

I've got eggs. Although I must tell you Steve you were right the one group stopped chasing. These fish were very young about 6 months old I know they can breed when young but the females just don't seem interested. I am keeping one mop in the tank just in case.

Moon is almost full tonight and I have mild bumping in the KXS and the MAtsuyama. I asked them to wait until January 1 but we may have eggs this week. Fish room is in the sixites, the Bristols are all filled out, Yahoo!:exact:

Must be the best ever Christmas present and you can devote 100% of your time taking care of the fry. All the best.
