So I had store credit. And I grabbed some Nutri Fin color enhancing GF food. Fed it as a "treat" and now am SHOCKED! My colors are all messed up! Chocolate GF is orange and blotchy a baby ryukin has lost its SPOT. Blk. Will this color "crappiness" reverse itself??? Will the fish stay colored like this!? Is there anything I can do?

Just normal colour changing process, I'm afraid. Feeding the colour food is purely coincidental. Colour food can enhance red colouration over a long period but if it worked as quickly as your post suggests we'd all be feeding it by the ton - I'd do anything to encourage my "experimentals" to change colour!

For the most part I enjoy watching my fish mature and change colors. Yes it can be frustrating when they change in a way we don't like, but thats part of rearing goldfish.

I had a batch of fry this past spring that spurted into color and then faded, now at 9 months the color is better than ever. The blacks have become deep and the reds and oranges very vibrant. Give them time and see what they look like in another month.

I have used the Nutra fin goldfish food, my fish seem to like it but I still prefer to give them a variety of different foods.

In general color changes tend to come in spurts and tend to happen after some "incident". It can be a water quality issue, abrupt change in season, changing the surroundings, a disease issue, etc. We assume the color change is genetically programmed and inevitable, but stable conditions and proper lighting may help postpone it for a while.

I have a really poor light on this tank. And the sun has disappeared in Ohio for the winter. Maybe a better light will help. I put my big light on the babies in another tank. So i will buy/build another light. *
