I went to Paul's last Saturday and picked up some Tosakins. They came in a day before and they look healthy and active. I am very pleased with them. They are currently in quarantine. I will post more updates in couple of weeks when I get back from my business trip.

I'm not into Tosakins (not hardy enough for me), but I can appreciate them. Those fish are beautiful.

How big is that bowl/tub and what's the size of those fish? It seems daily water change will be pretty easy to do with that setup. That's my motto these days, keep everything simple.

Another question, will those ranchu grow well in that bowl/tub.

Are these Tosakins from Japanese imports?

These are Thai-import bred by Mr. Boss (Bangkok, Thailand).

Knowing Mr. Boss, however, the parent fish are probably straight Japanese import. He goes to Japan and buy some of the best seeders every year. These seeders typically costs a fortune (some of his ranchus cost more than $10k), but he can easily make it up by selling the spawns as there's a huge market in Asia where a lot of people are really into quality goldfish and are willing to pay big bucks for them.

Are those SVRs bred by Paul? Wen growth is pretty good at that age.

Are these Tosakins from Japanese imports?

Mr.Kinoshita X Mr.Kousaka bloodline and bred by Mr. Boss Ranchu, Thailand.
Both breeder are from Kochi Island (known as the best place on earth to get tosakins).
These are the last batch of Tosakin that he has and i got them.
Since he needs space to breed Azumanishiki and Nagate Oranda.

Bowl is about 30" in diameter and about 10" deep. The biggest Tosakin in that bowl is about 4-5". I use battery powered syphon to do 50% water change everyday.
