Hi,

I had a 10 gallon tank with duckweed. Partial shade. I have one question, how can I avoid tank water to be overflowed and losing the duckweed if it rains heavily?
From the inches of rain fall, could be converted to surface of the tank and how much rain water would be filled during raining?

I see some mosquito larva in the tank. How could we avoid mosquito larva in the tank? the tank is standing water.

Is it OK for the goldfish to consume mosquito larva?

Thanks

If you get one inch of rain the water level in the tank will rise one inch. You may be able to secure a strip of screen around the upper edge of the tank so the duckweed will be retained when the tank overflows. If you secure a piece of window screen across the top of the tank it will keep mosquitoes from lying eggs there.

Mosquito larvae are excellent goldfish food. Remove them when they are still long straight larvae. When they become curled pupae (wigglers) it means they will fly away in a day or so.
