Hi,
I am setting up my fish tank. I used stock tank 150g (rubber maid). Plan to put 4 TVR outdoor. I would like to used submerge filter pump. Thinking about pondmaster1500 or Lifegard Aquatics Complete Pond Filter System. I would like to have some green water. The UV light will kill all the algae. Need some help on the submerged pump to used.
Thanks,
Opera

A filter outside the pond is easier to maintain.

If you want green water, I suggest you skip the filtration and just use aeration. A good filter will keep your water clear. Most stock tanks have a threaded hole near the bottom. You could rig some sort of bottom drain and do periodic partial water changes to keep the water from getting too thick.
I have green water tubs outdoors and filtered tubs. I like the green water for growing fry, but I prefer the clear water for the big fish (so I can see them)

I have the PondMaster and almost always have green water. However, you could always use a pond pump and secure a sponge over the intake. That way, you would have lots of water movement, a place for some beneficial bacteria to gather, and lots of green water. Also, a pond pump and sponge would be a lot cheaper. I almost went that route myself, but I caught the Pondmaster on sale.
