I had green water system in my indoor 60 gallons tank. Green water keeps collapsing especially during winter time. I am thinking to switch it to clear water tank.
Pic of the tank.

Since it is a custom made tank, it is very difficult to install filter. I don't have extra space for wet/dry either. I am thinking to get Fluval FX5.
Is it a good one? reliable? What is my other option will be? Thanks.

I use 2 fx5s for my 125 and I love them. Lots of room for biomedia
I'm not using a fluval now, but I never had a problem with them. I'm just sorry I gave away mine to my sister.

A FX5 on a 60 gallon tank may be a bit overkill. Also, if you're talking about the one on the lower rack, canisters generally need to be gravity fed, so they must be below tank level to work.

Filter will sit on the floor which is 3" below the tank level. I used Eheim 2213 last year and it was working fine.
I have an fx5 and it works fine. I think my favorite has been the xp3 filters. Ease of use, maintenance, and durability with these filters. I do like the fx5 that I use it to drain my tank. I used it on my 75 gallon with no problems and its on my 125 with an xp3 and a 2217.

I went to LFS this morning to see the actual size of FX5. It is huge and won't fit the place where I want to put it. I am thinking of XP4. How is it?
I don't have an xp4 but have xp3's and an xp2 and like them pretty well. They make more noise than eheim though.
