To me this is your best bet. A winner when ever you see it.
Short and sweet.
To the point.
It will look good on shirts, hats,and anytime you advertise your/our :yess::yess: meetings or shows.
Get rid of the word OF this way it will fit on shirts and hats better.

3. All people collectively.
4. Companionship.
5. An organized group with some interest in common.

American 1. Of or in america.
2.Of the US., it's people, etc.

Overall, I would have to vote for ARA, it's not affiliated with any other acronym or association that instantly pops to mind and it doesn't spell anything that could be turned into a joke..

I do like "society" also but "ARS" is what my UK equestrian friends call the hind end of their horses ......
and A.R.S. was also a popular band in the 80's....
