Very nice set up there! I always wanted to have nice in ground pond.
Lovin the pond and your fishes look very healthy. Besides the Fishmate, what other filtration are you running?
Where's the lotus? Im interested in seeing it in a pond set-up w/ fish

I hope my pond photos will inspire people who thought they could not possibly have one. This pond is actually a 300 gallon rubbermaid livestock trough. It sits right by my front door. Large flat flagstones circle the tank to give it a natural appearance, and lots of perennials provide color and contrast. In addition to the fishmate UV, I have a reservoir at the top of my waterfall. This has large round filter media pads to act as a mechanical filter. I also have a potted arrowhead root plant with lava rocks up there to improve water quality.
In the 300 gallon pond I have two potted hardy water lilies, anacharis, and water plantain. The water plantain sits on a milk crate so that it is not too deep in the water. It is important to have both submerged an emergent plants in your pond. I also have water hyacinth. I live in upstate New York, so in the winter I install a de-icer made for livestock troughs : ) I highly recommend a pond. The goldfish thrive, and it is so relaxing to sit and watch the fish.:yess:
