Hello, I'm Norm from Oregon. (though 17" of snow on the ground last week looked like the Midwest) I'm generally more enthused about goldfish genetics than all the work of actually raising them. I currently have 2 types of baby fish from calico and blue metallic crosses. One group is F2 lion/ranchu wannabe. The other group is supposed to be F3 comet/shubunkin but I got a surpring number of double tails showing up (from grandma).
I've been collecting cheap calico ryukins and calico orandas, but not sure if I have any males yet. I have pairs of colored matt shubunkins and uncolored (brown) veils I could breed in the Spring. I've lost my Bristols and the albino ryukins I had a couple years ago, but hope to get some more.
I generally prefer long tailed fish that aren't orange, so I've resisted Red Ranchu Fever fairly well so far.

Hi Norm

Glad you joined!

Haven't been to organized with the tank move. At this point it might be Friday, but if not can you get away from the family on Saturday?

Yep and I'm looking out the window at it snowing like crazy right now. This is really something.
