Hi all,
I just want to see what are other type of frozen food you guys are feeding to your fish.
Hikari Frozen BW and Brineshrimp are the main frozen diet I use to feed my GF.
But I'm also considering adding other frozen foods.

I only use Hikari Frozen B.W. as a frozen food.

I also use Hikari frozen blood worm and brine shrimp. Occasionally I'll feed thawed frozen shrimp - that is frozen people food! ha ha...
I have also fed frozen Emerald Entree. It has a lot of vegetable matter but the disadvantage is that the vegetable bits flow all over the tank as the cubes thaw. It is great fun to watch the fish swimming vigorously after the food.....good exercise for them. I think a better alternative would be for me to make gel food for them, I just need to find the time to do it. What other frozen food are you thinking of? I know there are a lot of frozen food for larger meat eaters and marine fish (clam, squid, mysis shrimp, beef heart etc.) that I see in the freezer in the LFS. I wanted to try a frozen food called Goldfish Frozen Diet manufactured by San Francisco Bay but I can't find any LFS that carries it.

Feeding table shrimp to goldfish sounds excessive, but it's cheaper than frozen bloodworms or brine shrimp. They really like squid and octopus too, but you need a pressure cooker and meat grinder to get small enough pieces to feed. I occasionally buy a package of capelin or flying fish eggs (sold in the super market for garnishing sushi) and the goldfish absolutely go nuts over it. They also like the sushi nori sheets and dry wakame (for making soup) which is nutritious but fat free. In most homes, you can usually find some left-over people food in the frig which the fish will eat.
